Project Description: The Program Associate is the entry level position to program work at IFES. As a junior member of the team, the Program Associate will provide administrative and programmatic support for IFES’ programs in the Americas’ Region. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and programmatic support to the department.
- Assist with editing/writing sections of quarterly and other program reports.
- Use IFES tools to help monitor labor utilization and project expenses.
- Prepare procurement packages for supervisor review.
- Review field finance reports, wire transfer requests, vendor invoices, etc.
- Support the recruitment process of consultants.
- Assist with mobilization of field staff and consultants for assignments.
- Plan and expedite airline, hotel, visa arrangements, security briefing, etc.
- Make payments and handle credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain records and documents, including consultant contracts, project files, etc.
- Support department meetings.
- Conduct research and assemble briefing materials, as directed.
- Contribute to maintain our website up to date.
- Share content and information through our social media accounts.
- Conduct research and support special initiatives including external events.
- Provide translation support, as needed.
- Support proposal development processes, as directed.
- Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE: 0 - 2 years of relevant experience in international development or related field. Internship(s) experience with an international NGO is a plus.
RELATED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Experienced with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
- Introductory experience in proposal development support a plus.
- Familiarity with USAID and DRL regulations is helpful.
- Detailed oriented and super organized.
- Ability to prioritize, take direction, and handle varied tasks within deadlines.
- Strong communicator, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborative, team-oriented individual.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: English required. Proficiency in French and/or Spanish is highly desired.
